The drive to Moruya was really fabulous - the national parks are spectacular. Can't get enough of the scenery. We parked the van on John & Cheryl's front lawn and plugged into their power. It made a great caravan park! They live on the outskirts of Moruya with a farm directly across the road. It's so peaceful and the birds were colourful and full of mischief. The countryside is awesome. They have two of the most gorgeous pomeranian dogs - Iken and Max.

Visited all the little towns around the place...Mogo, Batemans Bay, Nelligan, Durras, Tuross, Bodalla etc. Lovely nature walks where the forests meets the sea, rivers and lakes. Didn't do too much walking though because weather turned a little nasty. Had heavy rain a couple of days and a very light drizzle a couple more, then it was very overcast. But nevertheless, we had a great stay. The van proved to be waterproof so we are very grateful for that LOL.

Had a couple of great lunches at Batemans Bay RSL. Meals were only $9 each and really good. Beats Macca's any day heh.

Bermagui, NSW

Drove further North up the coast road - lots of little towns and settlements. Views still spectacular. Staying at the Zane Grey Caravan Park in Bermagui - beautiful location. So much to see around here. Cobargo, Cooma, Pipers Lookout, Montreal Goldfields, Camel Rock, Wallaga Lake etc etc etc. Visited a gorgeous National Trust classified village - Central Tilba. Just beautiful and the setting and views is to die for. What a feast for the eyes. This coast just gets better all the time. Every time we think we have seen the best we are surprised with more beauty. Also went to the 100 year old ABC Cheese Factory and did some cheese tasting. Had to buy some too - just to be sure.

There's a pretty wharf walking distance from the caravan park. All this sight-seeing has left us exhausted, so I think it may be a walk down there and fish & chips for dinner LOL.

We are supposed to leave tomorrow morning and head to Moruya - the weather is turning rotten and thunder storms are expected. We will leave early and hopefully beat the bad weather. At least it's only a very short drive tomorrow.

Eden, NSW

Drove through Alfred National Park with views of Croajingolong National Park to the East of us. So very, very beautiful. It just gets better all the time ! Stopped and booked into Big 4 Eden Gateway Caravan Park. Great park, fantastic people.

What can I say about Eden other than it really is an Eden. Everything is here - it is on the fringe of Two Fold Bay, Lake Curalo and Ben Boyd National Park. Can't ask for better. Did lots of drives - Merimbula, Bega, Pambula and so on. Did cheese tasting in Bega and HAD to buy some heritage cheese they only sell from that store. Went to Oaklands Barn and Garden Centre near Pambula - how lovely. All sorts of things to see there, beaut rustic design & construction, garden nursery, local art gallery, old wares and collectible, animal nursery, lovely vistas, a fabulous function centre, cafe/restaurant and most importantly a great cup of coffee LOL.

Our morning walks are a real pleasure - along a boardwalk that runs along the lake, then you cross the road and walk along a pathway parallel to the beach. What a great way to wake up ! People in Eden are so very friendly too, we will be sorry when it's time to leave.

The drive from Foster to Bairnsdale is picturesque. Really enjoyed driving through the little country town. We stopped for a couple of hours in a town called Sale which was really nice. We had lunch in a bakery that used to be a church and then a Sunday school. Now it's a bakery LOL. The pies and pasties are delicious.

Bairnsdale is really a nice country town....has everything you need. It's quite busy this weekend (Australia Day Long Weekend) but things will quieten down after Monday public holiday. We have met up with Russ & Jan again as their boat is moored at the marina in Paynesville just 20 minutes away. Russ took us out in the boat around the marina - there's some really beautiful homes on the canals. What a lovely area. We've also been to Johnsonville, Lakes Entrance, Metung (another fantastic bakery), Lake Tyers, blah blah blah.....LOL. Still so many pie shops to visit heh. Still extremely overcast and hazy so not sure how photos will turn out. Weather is still beauteous and cool !
